Teens: Win $500 Sharing Your Money Smarts

Posted

Lights, Camera, Save! Video ContestFirst State Bank launches our Lights, Camera, Save! video contest in an effort to boost financial literacy with some of our younger savers! Teenagers are encouraged to submit their creative 90-second or less video that demonstrates the importance of smart money skills. One talented winner will receive $500 to help with his or her savings goals and move on to the American Bankers Associations Foundation’s national contest with the chance to win up to $5,000.

Many teens “live” in the digital space–whether learning, connecting or sharing online. This contest engages them in financial literacy. Employing tools many use on a daily basis—cell phones, cameras, and computers—teens get to share their best savings tips, the 4-1-1 on why saving money is important, strategies for saving for college, and more.

The contest is open to anyone aged 13-18 (as of October 1, 2018), who is a legal resident of or has visa status in the US or District of Columbia with consent of a parent/guardian.*
