My Story

I’ve spent more than 35 years helping local businesses succeed through community banking in the Kansas City area. As the commercial lending leader for First State Bank’s Kansas City region, I work closely with business owners to provide financing and banking services that support their goals and long-term success.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a Banking emphasis from the Missouri State University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Missouri–Kansas City. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on relationship banking and helping business owners navigate important financial decisions with confidence.

Helping Businesses Move Forward

Every business has its own goals, challenges, and opportunities. I believe the best financial solutions start with understanding what matters most to each client and building a relationship that lasts beyond a single transaction.

My experience includes commercial and industrial lending, business lines of credit, term financing, residential and commercial construction lending, and commercial real estate financing for a wide range of property types, including owner-occupied, retail, multifamily, industrial, and hospitality properties. Whether a business is expanding operations, purchasing property, or planning for future growth, I enjoy helping clients find financing strategies that support their success.

Giving back to the community has always been an important part of my professional journey. I have previously served on the Board of Directors for the Kansas Bankers Association and the Executive Advisory Council for Missouri State University’s College of Business. Today, I serve on the Patrician Woods HOA Board of Directors and continue looking for opportunities to stay involved in the communities I serve.

Outside of work, I enjoy running, reading novels, and pursuing my own writing projects.
